Hard working teams are finalists in family law awards

Two specialist teams from The Family Law Company are amongst the finalists in this year’s LexisNexis Family Law Awards.

They have been shortlisted in the Children Team of the Year and Legal Support of the Year categories.

The Family Law Company’s Children Team, based in Exeter, Plymouth and Truro is particularly impressive in the diversity of its individual lawyers, who draw on their own experiences to support their clients in a meaningful, empathetic way.

Their personal understanding of different and difficult circumstances means they work especially hard to ensure that every child and parent, including those living with challenges due to societal standing, neurodiversity, or disabilities, has a voice and access to justice.

For the Legal Support category, The Family Law Company nominated its Costings Team, which provides crucial support to lawyers working on legal aid cases. This three-strong team takes on the many administrative tasks involved in legal aid cases. With between 300 to 400 such cases each year, their work, which includes preparing and managing all claims, enables lawyers to concentrate better on clients.

The team operates very much behind the scenes so being shortlisted for their work and commitment in such a public way is a true commendation of their proficiency.

Joint MD, Rachel Buckley said: “This is such brilliant news for both teams, who are incredibly hardworking and bring such expertise to the company. I always knew they were all amazing – now everyone else will know!”

The teams will find out if they have won at the awards event at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London on Monday 27 November.
