“Annabel was exceedingly helpful, so easy to talk to, and very reassuring throughout my case”

Annabel joined the firm in 2020 in our Domestic Abuse and Children Team. She now works as a Trainee Legal Executive, studying her CILEx Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and will qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2023.

Working closely with domestic abuse specialist, Jill Read-Brown, she has been able to gain insight and experience in key areas of family law including private law children, domestic abuse, divorce, and finance.

Before starting law, Annabel gained a degree in Psychology and Sociology, and her study of these subjects have enabled her to approach every case in a holistic manner, with an appreciation of the impact that people’s life experiences have on them, with a particular interest in helping people with mental health issues. She understands how stressful and worrisome family proceedings can sometimes be, so she seeks to provide clients with as much care and support as possible.

In her free time, Annabel likes to explore Devon with her family, and play the piano.

Her work includes:

  • Assisting in getting an urgent Non-Molestation Order, and arranging for it to be served on the respondent the same day
  • Assisting in cases of sexual abuse against a child
  • Preparing applications for Divorces and Child Arrangements Orders
  • Supporting clients through fact-finding hearings
