Focussing on employee engagement, support and training has enabled a niche, Exeter based law firm to gain a prestigious, nationally accredited award.

The Family Law Company by Hartnell Chanot was awarded the Investors in People Standard for the way that they have successfully managed to develop support and motivate their ever growing team of family law specialists and business support teams.

The Investors in People framework, which is suitable for organisations of any size and in any sector, transforms business performance through people, helping companies to achieve their objectives by targeting specific priorities within the organisation.

The award was granted following an assessment that involved a number of staff interviews and focus group sessions in both their Exeter and Plymouth offices. The firm sailed through the assessment process on their first attempt.

A final report issued to the organisation following the assessment, praised the company on the clear vision and ethos shared by each employee regarding their drive to put client satisfaction at the forefront of their thinking.

The report also acknowledged a range of efforts by the firm’s management team to improve corporate structure and manage engagement during a major rebranding exercise that took place in October last year.

HR Business Manager, Nicki Bidgood of The Family Law Company by Hartnell Chanot, which now employs some 80 staff, said:
