DASLS Awards Rising Star Finalist

Last year, Director Rachel Buckley told me that the Board had chosen to nominate me for the Devon and Somerset Law Society award for Rising Star 2019. I was so surprised and absolutely thrilled. It made my day, week and really my year. Being recognised by your own firm as someone who wants to take their career seriously, be the best lawyer they can be and is seen to be on the path to achieving that goal is really very special.

Since joining The Family Law Company, I have had the privilege of working on a variety of interesting and complex matters, achieving good results for my clients whilst doing so. To be trusted by the Directors and more senior members of the firm to undertake this work and to be supported and championed by them has been a real blessing.

I enjoy representing the firm by getting involved in networking and charity projects. I have engaged in a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and I always love having the opportunity to involve my colleagues in these. I know that this is something that The Family Law Company value and I enjoy doing it.

My firm nominated me because they see me as one to watch in the coming years and are proud of what I have achieved so early on in my career – I have been qualified for just 2 years and 8 months. I am very grateful for the way everyone at the firm has supported me and my career thus far, and I am confident they will continue to do so.

Attending the award ceremony was such an honour, even more so when we won the Law Firm of the Year (1-10 Partners). I feel privileged to have been a Finalist for the Devon and Somerset Law Society Award for Rising Star 2019 and I am excited to see what the rest of this year holds for me.
