Proud to announce of double shortlisting at the Devon and Somerset Law Society Awards

We are thrilled to announce that The Family Law Company has been shortlisted for two awards at the prestigious 2025 Devon and Somerset Law Society (DASLS) Awards.

Galina Labworth has been shortlisted for Legal Aid Lawyer of the Year. Galina’s route into family law has been anything but traditional, with over 25 years’ experience as a criminal defence solicitor before transferring her skills to support vulnerable families. Since joining our Care team in 2022, she has championed the rights of clients often overlooked, including parents in prison, and has been instrumental in building new ways to maintain crucial family connections. Galina also plays a key role in mentoring our next generation of legal aid lawyers.

Thomas Glover has been shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year. Thomas joined us in 2024 and has already made a significant impact through his work in our children and domestic abuse team. Driven by a personal passion for helping the vulnerable, Thomas brings empathy, resilience, and determination to every case he handles. His commitment to making a difference to our community has already set him apart as a true rising star in family law.

Rachel Buckley, Director at The Family Law Company, said:  “We are incredibly proud of Thomas and Galina. Their dedication, compassion, and innovative thinking embody the values we hold dear. It’s wonderful to see their hard work recognised by DASLS.”

The Devon and Somerset Law Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of legal professionals across the region. We look forward to the awards on 19th June 2025 and wish Thomas and Galina the very best of luck!
