Double win at Cornwall Law Society Awards for family law specialist

The Family Law Company’s Truro office is celebrating a double win at the Cornwall Law Society Awards.

It’s the first time the firm has entered these awards since opening the office in 2022 to provide a local service to clients in the county.

The firm took home the Client Experience Award, recognising its commitment to improving the client journey through the implementation of a dedicated team comprising the first impressions team and client call team. This approach ensures clients feel supported throughout what is often a very difficult time in their lives.

There was an unexpected bonus when the team also scooped the Judge’s Award, presented by Engagement Director VSF and Chief Executive of Cornwall Pride, Matthew Kenworthy Gomes.

Business Development Director, Kerry England commented “The recognition that our passion for helping people truly shines through means so much to us all.

“We’re incredibly proud of our hard-working team in Cornwall who embody our values and are committed to providing exceptional family law services to help people through some of life’s most difficult moments.”

In addition to the two wins, Legal Executive Natalie Symons was a finalist for the hotly contested Family Lawyer of the Year. Natalie specialises in legal aid cases, supporting vulnerable clients often struggling with addiction, mental health issues or suffering domestic abuse.

Lucy Theobald, Director and Head of the Truro office, added: “As newcomers to this prestigious event, winning two awards and receiving a finalist nomination is extra special.

“Huge thanks to the Cornwall Law Society for hosting such a fantastic evening at Truro Cathedral.”
