Becka joined The Family Law Company in November 2017. After studying A-Level Law and finishing Sixth Form in June 2017, she relocated from London to Devon with her family.
She started as our Office Assistant but after just 6 months, Becka was promoted to Legal Secretary. In August 2019 she moved into a Trainee Paralegal position working in our specialist Child Abduction Team, and is currently embarking on the CILEx Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship.
Although Becka is based in our Child Abduction Team, she has experience of working in all areas of family law, including private law children cases, domestic abuse, divorce and financial matters. She works closely with Grace Bradley and Jane Chanot, who are Resolution Specialists and panel members of Reunite and the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit. Becka benefits significantly from their expertise and experience.
Alongside her professional role and studies, Becka is an active member of our Charity and Wellbeing Committees. Becka is also the current Social Secretary and Co-Social Media Officer of the CILEx Devon Branch, organising networking and social events for CILEx members throughout the county. In order to promote the subject of law and the careers available within the industry, Becka is an active Alumni representative to her former secondary school.
Becka offers an approachable and empathetic service, and understands that family proceedings can be a very difficult time for all clients. She is equally detailed and efficient when dealing with legal matters.
In her spare time, Becka enjoys baking, walking her dogs and spending time with her family and friends.
