We are looking for a costs draftsman with knowledge and experience in family legal aid to come and work for us in house.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has an excellent knowledge of the legal aid costs assessment rules; and is capable of managing a caseload, including the drafting and negotiating of claim forms both on paper and on CCMS, bills of costs and high cost case plans. The candidate will be someone who has the ability to cost files from both paper files and online from the case management system. The ideal candidate will:
- Be aware of the importance of processing bills as efficiently and smoothly as possible
- Demonstrate an ability to provide excellent client care;
- Have good IT skills;
- Be a team player;
- Be organised and efficient;
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure deadlines are met.
