Strictly’s Len Goodman might give his trademark cry with the news that this autumn The Family Law Company has appointed a raft of new employees to its specialist family law teams.
With three new solicitors and four paralegals the company has added a variety of skills – meaning we are now able to handle even more family law enquiries than before for clients across the South West.
The solicitors are Emilie Haine, who studied history at the University of Warwick before converting to law and will be working on children matters including child abduction; Hannah Myers who joined as a qualified solicitor specialising in divorce and the financial consequences of marriage breakdown and Polly Hall, who specialises in the law relating to children, and represents parents and extended family members in Local Authority cases as well as private family disputes. Polly also has experience with wardship, grandparents rights and adoption including international adoption. Sasha Watson solicitor who specialises in divorce and resolving financial issues also prepares pre-nuptial, cohabitation and separation agreements.
Of the four paralegals, Holly Crook specialises in divorce and the financial consequences of marriage and civil partnership breakdown. She also undertakes publicly funded work and can advise clients on eligibility for Legal Aid. Danielle Coombes is currently studying to become a Chartered Legal Executive; she is interested in working further in child abduction. Lewis Hutton, who previously specialised in trademark law, now works in the divorce and finance team for both private and legal aid cases. Lewis says he made the move into family law because it gives him the opportunity to be directly involved in helping individuals.
Another paralegal, Cassie Saunders demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to employees. Cassie joined The Family Law Company in 2000 when she started as an office assistant. Over the past 16 years Cassie has completed a Family Law & Practice Course and a Higher Diploma in Family Practice, both through ILEX Tutorial College (ITC), obtaining a professional paralegal qualification through Central Law Training in 2010. She is also a member of the Institute of Paralegals.
Business Development Director, Rachel Buckley said: “We are delighted to welcome such a mix of experience and talent to the company, both new faces and others who have been promoted from within.
“All seven bring with them commitment to family law and a desire to give the very service best to clients. We are very much looking forward to supporting them through the next stages of their individual careers.”
