World Sleep Day and how this links to our Wellbeing

Today (16th March 2018) is World Sleep Day (WSD) which is an annual event intended to be a celebration of sleep, to raise awareness of sleep health and of sleep issues

WSD is held on the Friday before Spring Vernal Equinox of each year. It has been running since 2008 and is organised by the World Sleep Society.

We all know the importance of sleep and the adverse effect lack of sleep has on our physical and mental health. Good sleep is vital to nurturing a healthy lifestyle. Sleep deprivation and disorders are becoming more and more common with our society.

Both the physical and mental health of our employees is extremely important at The Family Law Company, and it is something we support proactively by encouraging involvement in our Wellbeing group.

The Wellbeing group was set up by Donna Hart with the intention of encouraging a healthy and happy open environment in the work place and at home. The group regularly holds events and activities such as a stress management talk, a step challenge and a healthy habits lunch.
