With a passion for making people’s lives better, both the Plymouth and Exeter based teams hosted a variety of activities to raise money including a red mini full of balloons and leg waxing.
The Comic Relief event saw the Plymouth office open its office doors to the public between 11-3, which attracted a steady influx of visitors throughout the day with tea, coffee, novelty cakes, and biscuits supplied by the Hartnell Chanot team. They created an inviting atmosphere and received great support from local business and Chambers of Commerce.
The main attraction was a red Mini Cooper filled with balloons outside of their office in Princess Court, Plymouth. The leg-waxing event was among the favourite activities of the day with Director Jonathan Madge and Associate Solicitor John Hind sacrificing their hairy legs to raise money for a worthy cause.
Other activities on the day included a Quiz, a raffle and “Pin the Red Nose on the Donkey” game. The Exeter team also raised funds on the day with lots of activities including pass the parcel. Prizes were generously donated by Morgan’s, Theatre Royal, Cafe Roma, Plymouth Pavilions and Dean Court.
Donna Read, Legal Executive in the Plymouth office commented: “We are delighted to have raised so much money for Comic Relief. It was a real team effort that made it such a success and we looking forward to smashing our record next year!”
