Between 9 and 9.30am this Sunday (22nd), Jill Read-Brown and Sarah McCourt, join Paul Nero on Exeter FM to talk about Domestic Violence.
As we approach Domestic Violence week from the 23rd – 27th November, Jill (our Domestic Violence specialist) and Sarah, founder of Restless Theatre Company talk about the realities of abuse.
Having meticulously dedicated herself to seeking justice for victims of domestic abuse and violence in Devon, JIll works tirelessly to ensure that legal advice is available to all victims, when they need it; offering out of hours appointments, her mobile number, and visiting clients at their homes if required. As a result of her persistence and commitment to the rights of victims, Jill has developed strong links with Domestic Violence Officers in Devon, and she is a participating member of the Exeter Domestic Violence Forum. Her empathy, compassion and warm friendly manner, helps to put at ease the fears of victims.
Sarah founded Restless Theatre Company in 2008 – an innovative, emerging Theatre Company in the South West. Combining new writing with collage techniques using sources such as Shakespeare and Fletcher, Restless have devised a new performance exploring how people can be motivated to monstrous actions in the name of love.
