Emilie is a Solicitor specialising in children and domestic abuse matters, particularly those with an international element.
Emilie represents clients across Europe and further afield, including parents whose children have been abducted into the UK, and parents and grandparents seeking contact with a child living permanently in this country. Emilie also helps local parents secure urgent measures to prevent children being abducted out of the UK. She deals with wardship cases and matters under the inherent jurisdiction of the High Court.
The Family Law Company is one of the few firms outside London on the International Child Abduction & Contact Unit panel, a group of specialist law firms approved by the Ministry of Justice to receive abduction and contact cases from other Hague Convention countries. Legal Aid is often available for these cases.
Emilie has a sensitive and empathetic approach. She strives to provide clear, focused advice, which is particularly important for clients who do not speak English as a first language.
Emilie joined the Family Law Company in 2016 and works from our Exeter office.
I cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done, you did wonders. Thank you to you and the entire team – you are professionals, but first and foremost you are people.
